2024 National Judicial Competition Information

What is NJC?

The National Judicial Competition (NJC) bring together Youth and Government participants from around the country to face off in mock trial and appellate competitions. This year it will be held July 28 - August 1, 2024 in Minneapolis, MN. Participants must be currently enrolled in grades 10-12 and have participated in MYIG for at least one year. Appellate teams must be 2-4 students. Mock Trial teams must be 5-8 students.

May 17th - June 7th - Register here!
June 4th - Case materials released and begin team meetings with coaches
June 7th - $75 nonrefundable deposit due
June 11th @ 5:00 pm - Orientation Zoom Meeting (mandatory)
June 14th - $450 Payment Due
June 19th @ 5:00 pm - Zoom Practice (optional)
July 1st - Code of Conduct and Health Form Due
July 8th - $475 Final Payment Due
July 9th @ 5:00 pm - Zoom Practice (optional)
July 17th @ 6:00 pm - Parent Zoom Meeting and pre-trip meeting (mandatory)
July 28th - Depart for Minneapolis
July 29th - August 1st - Conference & Competition
Aug. 1st - Return to Michigan
