2024-2025 Volunteer Events
Delegation Leadership Retreat
DLR is a leadership training conference, where Presiding Officers and Delegation Leaders come together to plan for the upcoming program year. Volunteers help with supervision, but can also lead a session on recruitment, fundraising, DIG, etc., if interested. We are also searching for volunteers to ride the charter buses to provide supervision there. Meals and lodging in rustic cabins is included, along with camp activities (archery, climbing wall, games, swimming, etc.). Registration is currently open now through August 1, 2024.

Fall Conferences
Fall Conferences help prepare our high school students for the upcoming program year. Alumni help with supervision, teaching students about program areas, set-up and tear-down. Each conference takes place from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm and lunch is included. Registration will open in early September of 2024. October 9th- District 1 Fall Conference at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI (Upper Peninsula Region) -
October 4th- District 2 Fall Conference at Kirkland Community College in Grayling, MI (Central Region) -
October 11th- District 3 Fall Conference at Fruitport High School in Fruitport (Northern Southwest Region) -
November 1- District 4 Fall Conference at Delta College in University Center (Northern Southeast Region) -
October 25- District 5 Fall Conference in Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek (Southern Southwest Region) -
October 21- District 6 Fall Conference in Schoolcraft College in Livonia (Southern Southeast Region)
Middle School Conferences
Middle School Conferences are for students from 6th - 8th grade to get the YMCA MYIG experience. Alumni will help with supervision, mentoring students, run program areas, set-up, tear-down, and evening fun activities. Alumni also collect change for change wars and run a MYIG swag sales table. A pre-conference Zoom training is required. All meals and accommodations are included. Registration will open in September of 2024. Once registration opens, click "register" on the main menu, then select the 2024 Middle School - Alumni (you must create an account and be logged in to register).
