Each Youth Governor will select members of the Governors Cabinet to advise and counsel the Youth Governor in their decision making throughout the conference. Similar to lobbying, students will speak one-on-one to peers and occasionally to large groups to advocate for the Youth Governor’s agenda and defend against veto overrides. This is great for students who have been in the legislature for multiple years and want to experience a new aspect of the process. The Governor is tasked with picking a Cabinet that has diversity throughout the state and can only chose 1 student from their home delegation.
